All Breathe Bodywork Sessions

Dress Comfortably: Wear workout or yoga clothes with arms and legs covered to be sure you’re warm and can easily move. Based on your assessment and comfort level, you may remain fully clothed or partially disrobe to apply specific techniques to areas of the body. Typically, we work over the clothes on the lower body so comfortable clothes are important.

Come Prepared: Refrain from eating at least two hours prior to your session. Drink plenty of water the day of your appointment and use the bathroom beforehand.

Getting Started: We'll have a brief chat to understand your goals and preferences. You’re welcome but not required to include your physical, emotional, and energetic needs.

Your therapist can help you best when you express:

-how you are feeling that day

-the areas you would like them to focus

-how you want to feel when you leave

-how light or heavy you would like your session to be.

Throughout the Session: Your therapist will indicate where to lie down and when it's time to reposition. Please let your therapist know if you need any adjustments to your position, temperature, or music so you can be as relaxed and comfortable as possible before and during your session. They will use their hands, forearms, knees, and feet to apply pressure and movement while you remain relaxed and passive. You will be guided to breathe at times and your therapist may check in with you to assess pressure or intensity. Your privacy will be protected with clothing or draping the entire time and they will never touch intimate areas. You are completely free to express your preferences or adjust your position at any time to inform your therapist.

Except for comments or questions related to your session, you and your therapist will remain quiet so you can be as present and receptive as possible.

After the Session: Please take a minute or two to return to movement slowly and integrate your experience before having a brief discussion. Feedback you are able to provide your therapist will further elevate future sessions. You may also request suggestions for self care between appointments.

Please hydrate, and follow up after if any questions arise.
